Shanghai Soap (Group) Co., Ltd〈SSG〉.
is one of the first batch of 54 enterprise groups which have been
realized modern enterprise management and approved by Shanghai local
government. Shanghai Soap continually wins the "Shanghai Best
Enterprise Image " unit for two times. It is also named as
the "Model Unit" of the spirit and modern civilization
by Shanghai local government.
SSG is coverd with 22 enterprises cooperated
by assets, including the high reputed Shanghai Soap Co., Ltd., Shanghai
Peony Priting Ink Co., Ltd., Shanghai White Elephant and Swan Battery
Co., Ltd. etc. The main products in SSG are soap, cleaning products,
glycerin, oleochemicals, ink & coating products, and various
kinds of batteries, under the famous brands "Baili" toilet
soap, "Fan" laundry soap, "Bee & Flower "
sandalwood soap; "Peony" printing ink; "White Elephant"
and "Swan" battery, etc. These quality products are well
sold to more than 40 countries and regions.
At
the end of 2000 there are 3990 employees in SSG. with a general
assets 1.62 billion yuan, covered a area of 158 thousands m2,
construction area of 140 thousands m2. The Group fulfilled total
output value 757.41 million yuan, an increase of 2.46% over last
year; product gross sale 1.02 billion yuan, an increase of 11.27%
over last year; export delivery valuep $22.73, an increase of 46.9%
over last year. The sale amount ranked in the 30thof the enterprise
groups in Shanghai.
